Its about what we learn ………

Its all about these  women that attend my

Oregon Art camp Retreatsartcampgroup

camp6group

It’s a lot of work prepping for this event, months in the planning, I am so thankful for Melissa for all her behind the scenes help with making it happen this year ! ..

I have learned something about each person that participates..

I have learned that Jenny is quiet , a little shy  but can be  DEADLY like me ! HAHA  she can crochet flowers like no other ! and she can make me give a speech with no alcohol involved ! LOL..

you all know I love to be front and center ! LOL..

JennyDoh

Jenny's bracelet and choker when finished, she learned etching metals, and soldering.. Look at her crotched flowers she made inside !jennys

I have learned that if you give 30 women soldering irons and solder they are happy for days and days, well maybe throw in a  few bottles of wine ..

I have learned that my kitchen help gets a little crazy as the night comes, they can sing and dance and cook at the same time ! who knew !! They are GREAT entertainment !.. teresita

I have learned you don’t need to know a sole when you arrive, because it isn't long and you have 30 forever sisters!..

Ad the Sun and the Beach  and you get lots of photos.. The Beautiful Oregon Coast

I have learned that all women deserve to come to Art Camp once in a life time, take that mini break in your life that can change your life forever….. putting yourself in a room with like wise women , creating a whole lot of artsy fun..

Our table settings at arrival.

I have learned it doesn’t matter how old we are, when you see your names on gifts it excites you ! and that we all adore Billie  the massage therapist…

027

I have learned that sand art never goes out of style ! Jenny and Shelly playing in the sand .. THANKS Jenny and Shelly……artcamp6

I have learned that we all love the view of the ocean from our  Art classroom ..012

I have learned that the women arrive with the most amazing gifts for me.. pumpkin carved by Ilona Steelhammer..

I have learned adding a photo booth to the mix was the best thing ever..055

I've learned that cupcakes in a jar are super YUMMY! Best eaten with your fuzzy slippers, wine and new  friends…Smile

I've learned that Raccoons in masks like chocolate cupcakes too !

racoons

I've learned that our cook Teresita couldn’t handle the news that Joy wasn’t there to help her cook ! LOL I think she was on the spin cycle here..

teresita

I've learned a lot the past few years of doing  Art camps, that  in the end its always worth the work involved.. The Happiness it brings each women , and the amazing letters I get when I get home bring me to tears…

Hi Terri.......I can't say enough about the incredible experience I had at Art Camp....I came home walking on cloud nine.  I loved making the jewelry and learning so much.  The ladies and you were such a gift to my life as I continue to explore my bucket list.  How blessed I was to be given the opportunity to go to your Camp and meet such Creative, Loving, and Supportive women.    The positive energy surrounding all of us was so infectious and appreciated.   I know you were exhausted and glad it's over, but you need to realized how many lives you have touched and changed and made a difference.  For me it will always be a dream come true.....Thank you Thank you.....Warm Hugs and many blessings  Vickie  Orlando CA

The most important is these women pictured below, they all truly make Art camp possible, they are the behind the scenes worker bees.. These women don’t get paid ,and work there Butts off  and never complain….

I've learned without them their would be no Art camps ..

I thank you all, Teresita, Kristin,Melissa, Justine and Lisa and Billie !

I cannot THANK-YOU all enough..

Ahhh Terri how very generous of you to give one of the Art Camp spaces away! Something like this would be SIMPLY AMAZING to win!

I visited last night thanks to Melissa telling me how amazing it would be for me to attend someday.

A girl can dream, right? With three children and me in college (my second year) something like this is just not in the cards for me, financially.

I would love to come and rub elbows with such amazing and talented women. I have had no time to create and I miss it terribly. I feel I have lost part of myself without having time to create. Art Camp would rejuvenate my SOUL ♥

Thank you for the amazing chance to win.

Cheers,
Tonya

I was fortunate enough to attend one day of the Dream Girls weekend in the spring and had such a wonderful time surrounded by women who, although I had never met before, I would consider them friends by the end of the day. I felt so special and welcomed the minute I walked in the door. I can only imagine how wonderful an entire weekend would be! Thank you for the opportunity.

Wow Terri! An opportunity to win/attend one of your art camps shows just what an amazing and giving person you are. My mom and I felt that way the first time we took a class from you in San Diego.
One way with you and we were hooked on soldering.
As a working mom/wife with 2 young girls, it's challenging at times to have some time for me. Although I do have my adult "play dates" here and there, I don't travel to events because of them.
Well, here's my chance! I'd be thrilled to attend and share in the sisterhood of the art camps :)
Hugs,
Erin

I NEED to be at one of your art camps! I've been wanting to go to one forever. This busy Grandma is needing a creative outlet...this would be a perfect "time-out" for me! (As long as you don't have me making tiny doll bodies and limbs..LOL!) Besides, I miss our time together and we would have a BLAST! What a blessing it would be...thanks for considering me, Terri!! Blessings, Tammy

Oh, my, what an absolutely generous giveaway!?!!

I would love to be able to attend art camp! I have always loved creating but like many it took a backseat for many years and just the last couple of years I have rediscovered my love of creating and trying new things.

I work at home as a transcriber, and although I love it, it doesn't afford me the opportunity to meet people and make friends and all my creative friends are bloggy friends.

I would love to be able to spend some time with like minded, spirited gals doing what we love to do and making new friends!

Art Camp fuels the creative soul!!!

xxoo

What a generous gift! The chance to attend. I have just joined a newly formed group of women artists- our purpose is to bring art to those that may not have it in their lives(sick and homeless children). I would love to be inspired through your retreat so I can pay it forward in my community. I really believe art saves. I know it has saved me and brought me great joy.Thank you!

I will be an empty-nester next year and maybe it is time to start to re-focus on myself. What a wonderful opportunity to put aside all my reasons/excuses for not attending Art Camp and begin the process. Plus, I do love a good craft!

how exciting to have a chance to win a prize of a lifetime. Turning fifty and becoming a grandma for the first time has somehow transformed who I am - or at least who I thought I was. Capturing memories and showing people I love how much they mean to me has become so important. I think Art is the medium to do that. I have always loved to make and gift my jewelry, but feel I lack the "creative spark" I need to take my "crafting" to the next level of "artist" - I am thinking that an Art Camp may just be the tool I need.

I would love to win, i am a self taught artist, and have not had a lot of time to create in the past few years, my hubby has had serious illness! I am not complaining, so glad i am able to be there for him and keep up with a job, would love to take a break and be with other creative souls.

thank you so much for the opportunity

Terri, how generous of you. I volunteer at a level I trauma center as an Art Buddy with the children in the burn unit and Pediatric ICU. I truly see the benefit in art in all walks of life and situations! I am currently on the books to attend the Fall 2012 event, I am sooooo excited. I would like to be able to offer this camp as an auction item for the organization I volunteer for. Art with Heart in Seattle. Whomever wins will surely benefit from "doing Art" and being surrounded by amazing artists! Thanks again and I so excited for Oct. 2012 and the possibility to share in my excitement, a little earlier, but still excited! Kelly

Your Art camp would be a fabulous renewing experience. It's benn a tough year with my elderly parents moving in with me. I've never been to so many doctors offices in my life. Needless to say, my creative time is limited. I can't imagine entire days set aside to create. It would be a dream come true to attend.

Here I thought I had posted a comment! But I can't find it now and this would be such a gift to ANYONE. I have admired yourwork for a while but never could schedule a trip to where you teach! I had someone at Art Unraveled tell me its so worth the trip to take a class from you so you are on my top five wish list now! So pleaaasssee pick me?
It really is a generous giveaway so even if I don't win I know whomever does will appreciate the gift/opportunity!

Oh Terry - your art camps are a highlight of my year! I love to attend and bring my girls with me! They are young women who may not realize the many blessings received in being with such an amazing group of creative and spirit-filled women. It is my prayer that they will continue to grow and understand the importance of sharing laughter, tears, joy and creativity with sister-friends.

My request is that one of them be gifted with a trip to Spring Art Camp. Thanks for the opportunity! I love you!
