Here is a few pictures of our weekend last week. its so beautiful, we didn't want to leave.. The Fabulous gardens and views

The students on the first day were lucky enough to get a grand tour of this fabulous Estate! its a busy place here with lots going on.. On Sunday was a black tie dinner for 100 , so as we all worked away on our bracelet, we got sneak peeks at the event coming together with the caterers and decorators doing their magic!

Ice Road Truckers

This is a picture from last night in Prudhoe bay.. Frank was called out on a call and this was the scene on the ice rd at 11:30PM!! yes the sun was just going down!.. isnt that crazy to see its still day light there at midnight.. soon they will be into 24 hours of daylight! after 24 hours of dark Im sure they Love to see any light.. Frank said the ice rds were very slick as the sun was melting the top layer!..

so hubby works on the slope in Prudhoe Bay Alaska.. here is a recent picture, notice the icicles on his eye lash's and eye brows! In this picture it was -52... cannot even imagine, if youuve ever seen ice road truckers, well thats what its like where he is, They build the ice roads!.. He was off in the big blue sky yesterday! always a sad day here at the Brush home to see him go back.. Then we bounce back and start counting the days until his return. when he returns we will be very busy getting ready for our sons graduation..

above it is a picture of bracelets made in the Bracelet extravaganza class this last weekend.. The top one was made by the guest teacher Barbara Gumeson its made from copper, a fabulous jewelry designer.. the one below that one I made in the class its made of sterling silver ! I got to sit in and take the morning class, then I took over in the afternoon..

Barbara's husband makes the lampwork beads and they are just fabulous!.. every student made the most amazing bracelets.. Mine doenst have the extra charms, but most students made soldered or torched charms to also attach..

It was sure a day of fun games and gifts.. Since it was Easter weekend I had decided we would just make it a big party all day.

My friend Julie came in with her most amazing cooking skills, and cooked and baked for us all day long.. She made us caesar chicken sandwichs , this salad that was to Die for, it had orange marmalade drizzled on it with a strawberry that looked like a flower!!.. while we were making our bracelets the kitchen aroma of garlic was making our mouths water, my classroom is a sunroom off my kitchen and it has a pass thru window so people can order drinks and food right at their table!! mid afternoon we smelled fresh Starbucks coffee brewing and here comes these amazing lemon bars for each!.. after that we played a Easter egg game, where everyone won a prize.. DOES IT SOUND TEMPTING YET !! .. so far almost every person taking a workshop here has come back for more!.. its really a day to get pamperd and play..

Well this weekend is no different, a group of 14 comes each day for 2 full days!.. we have julie back to feed us and pamper us again!..

Then i jet off to San Diego!!.. 3 full days of workshops there in the fabulous Mission hills home of Bobbi Bohanna, her home is often featured in the San Diego magazine for her most incredable gardens.. Shes also having a dinner party at the Estate one evening for 100 people!.. WOW.. will it be certainly divine or WHAT! ..

Blue SKY!! Anniversary

What is it about the SUN that makes us all so HAPPY!..

we had this same blue sky on our wedding day 23 years ago!

WOW its geogrous here this weekend, we ventured off to portland for the weekend for our 23rd wedding anniversary!

had a very fun weekend with my hubby...

we stayed at the fabulous Paramount, and played and shopped downtown,

and went to dinner at Saltys on the water..

always a fun town to visit,

but we are always ready to get home to a little slower pace ....

We got home in time today to work in the yard,

its 73 degrees and everyone is so HAPPY!..

I think we were all pretty ready for the sun to come out.. about the time I think we finally need to pack up and move way to some better weather, the Sun makes a big debut and saves the move! .... We are always talking about moving to a place with Seasons and MORE SUN!..
